Jim W.'s 1976 Dealer-Painted
"Starsky & Hutch®" Gran Torino
Jim W.'s Starsky & Hutch Torino
This is another one of the cars painted by a Ford Dealer back in 1976
to look like the TV show car. The stripe is very similar to the one
Ford painted on 1,000 cars at the factory, but not exactly the same.
A little more pointed here, a little more curved there, in some ways
it's more like the TV show stripe than the factory cars would later have.

Jim bought the car in 1980 (it's hard to believe it was only 4 years old)
and garaged it about a year later. He got it out again in 1991,
so it's still practically like new. Thanks for taking care of it, Jim!

This is a beautiful example of a nice, clean, well-preserved white interior!
Jim is the second owner, and he knew the first one, so he's known the car
a long time! It is now powered by a "hopped up" 400 with a
750 double pumper and other stuff that, Jim says, "helps it along!"
