| How many 11 year olds have their own "Starsky & Hutch" Gran Torino? Well, this one doesn't anymore. Oh, he still has the car, but he's at least 18 years old now! Kevin and his car have been featured here for over 7 years, and I'm glad to say I've met him and his dad, Jeff, on many occasions over the years, and I'm eternally grateful for that. Jeff, Kevin, and the rest of their family are absolutely among the nicest people I've ever met, and I'm glad we've had a chance to become friends thanks to our common interest in these red and white cars. | ||||

| Kevin and his Dad, Jeff, purchased this Torino in October, 2000. It has a 460 engine now but originally had a 400. The interior and body are in mint condition. Although the paint is fading, it's original and you have to appreciate that. Jeff bought this car for Kevin, who he told Jeff one day that for his first car he would love a "Starsky & Hutch" Torino. About 2 weeks later, on a Sunday motorcycle ride, they passed a little used car lot in a town "smaller than Mayberry" and there she sat just waiting on them! Jeff called the next Monday about it and went down that night and bought it. He didn't tell Kevin what he was doing so it was a total surprise when Jeff stopped about a half block from their house and revved the motor and let those cherry bombs talk! Kevin heard it and came outside to see what it was, and when he walked out to the road to see, Jeff lit 'em up, and he says, "I have never seen such a look on Kevin's face before!" | ||||

| Jeff, Kevin, and other members of their family (that's Grandpa M. in the photo above, videotaping Jeff and Kevin back in 2003) were regular attendees at our annual S&H Torino Reunions in Evansville, Indiana. Unfortunately, the car show where the reunions were held has fallen apart over the years, but fortunately Penny and I have managed to drive down to Evansville every year anyway. Getting together with Jeff, Kevin, and others in the area like Lewis and Joe and their families is always the highlight of our year. They have become family to us, and we've been through a lot together. I wonder if the people who made the S&H TV Show over 30 years ago had any idea their work would someday bring together people from all over the country - and the world - and unite them as friends. | ||||
