Fred L.'s 1974 Ford Gran Torino Sport®
"Starsky & Hutch"®Replica
|
|
|
| Fred bought this car in 2003, with original 460 engine,
which was blown at the time and needed a complete rebuild. It has since been rebuilt with flat top pistons, three-quarter
cam, Edelbrock Performer intake, and 750 cfm Holley carb. Suspension, steering and brakes to be done soon, Fred
says. The rust and dings were repaired and the car was sprayed Viper red with Ford white for the stripe. |
|
|
| The car was originally dark brown with beige and orange
sport interior with full gauges. Fred's currently changing the interior to black with red Sport interior. Fred
says the car already draws a lot of looks - and it's not done yet! "I have always wanted one since I first
saw it on the screen 30 years ago," he says. "I would like to thank my family and friends for all their
help with this dream. especially my friend and boss, Dan, owner of Maaco N.K.C. for allowing me the chance to build
my dream car at work on the weekends." |
